I really would like to use my PC the way I have always used it and as I could until the November update. Do I really need to go back to windows 7 and hope the next version of Windows, should there ever be one, would be less fault ridden?
I really don't feel like doing a clean install every 4 weeks. I use an enterprise version which promises that deferring the update will buy me some respite from the next update, although I have no hope. Today alone I restarted my PC 9 times to gain a total of 12 minutes online time.
Restarting takes about minutes each time and sometimes I just get stuck at the windows icon. Then I gave up and decided to read a book instead and to use my tablet. If anyone has a good idea how to solve this, I'm all ears, pc drops connection when downloading games.
Customer er service could only emphasize their support was free of charge and provide me with a template action sheet which is mostly for wifi and which did not anything except entertain me for a few restarts. Thanks, I checked, all my drivers are up to date even to later versions than windows 10 would automatically update to Bios is up to date. As mentioned above, I did a full clean install during which I had updated all drivers to the latest available versions. All was then well until win 10 forced the install of updates. I have a pure win 10 enterprise machine from work which is managed by our IT dept. However "drivers up to date" can be wrong.
I don't use Microsoft to update my drivers, never have; I either go to the manufacturer's website or use Driver Easy. It is far more common see original post I need to restart over and over again and the actual "restarting" screen lingers on for about minutes normally.
I gave up looking at it and usually just to do something else. Yes I think there is something about the communication paths which is slipping since card and dongle would both report they are connected and communicating while they in fact are not. Most updates over the past decades led to a delayed upstart at some point, heck, win 7 would sometimes decide to stand spinning for 30 min if it hit the whatever mood and then all was OK while I tore around my system looking for errors. I have since win 95 the habit once an update came up to download all the available latest drivers and to install them once the update was finished.
