The landlord's wife overhears the commotion and rushes to see what's going on. When she hears that Sing and Bone are threatening their tenants as Axe gang members, she starts slapping Sing with her slippers. Fleeing in despair, Sing decides to light a firecracker and throws it outside only to land on one of the heads of a real Axe gang member. Sing quickly accuses the residents of Pig Sty Alley.
