The Chive app was 5 star before but not anymore. Really sad to see what has become of this once great app. Deleted the app and no longer have a desire to go to the site itself anymore. And since all content is pictures, that alone makes it a crappy app. I've tried to get use to this new version. The guys said its super fast. They put a lot of money into it. However on my devices it's super slower. Images take long to load. The slide feature is great to have it back but I can't just share one pic from a gallery anymore.
It's the whole gallery if wanting to share on FB or whatever. Got to take a screen shot of it then share. That's not very cool. Wifi or not. It crashes on iPad a lot. Also if you start in a vertical view the switch to horizontal, you lose what ever you were looking at or reading and are on a different blog.
Absolutely love everything Chive but ads that pop up with automatic sound up should go. Pop up adds are annoying. It also automatically launches the App Store to download other apps. They seem to have fixed the annoying bugs and crashes which kept me away from using the app.

This app has blown ads out of proportion. Every other link I click on forces me out of the app Every update I think the bug will get fixed and every update nothing. Why is the Kobe tribute showing up in my feed close to the top everyday. Please help with this. I like the chive. You help entertain my brain during spells of boredom and I thank you for that. But I cannot continue to use you if I keep keep getting reminded of that terrible day in history every time I open your app.

Only this app does this. We are all willing to pay for advertisement free service. Great site its normal for humans to appreciate The human form as well as neat stuff and fails.
Just a thought TTFN. The content is a great way to entertain, kill time and procrastinate. The ads have gotten to be too much. The download thechive app android pop-up ad and I quit the app. The amount of ads has reduced my use of the app. Last 2 updates were horrible. Not sure why they felt a need to ruin a great thing. The app can be a little glitchy though.
